Mr. Paul Moore:
In view of the fact that the Better Business Bureau usually receives complaints from customers, and rarely receives compliments, we thought you might be interested in the enclosed letter concerning the service provided this consumer by your company.
Good business is a two-way street, and we personally wish to take this opportunity to commend your firm and your staff on your apparent effort to make Kingsport a good place to live and do business.
If this Bureau may serve you at any time, please feel free to call us.

Gentlemen: In January we camped at the State Park in Kingsport in our Southwind Motorhome. When we departed in the morning we noted the RV was not operating properly and apparently had a transmission problem. We made several calls to the more well known transmission facilities and the Kingsport dealer for the RV chassis with little success. Although we explained that we were passing through at the start of an extended trip the best any of them could do was LooK At It In A Week or So.
Then I just picked at random from the phone book Brookside Transmission, Inc. in Kingsport. I talked with Mr. Paul W. Moore. He said he was very busy but would try to accomidate us since we were passig through and on a tight schedule. If we could get to his shop he would look at it and if we couldn't get there he would come and get us.
To make a long story short we needed a rebuild of our transmission and Paul promised to have it ready in two or three days. With that we left the RV in Pauls hands and headed to our daughters home in Virginia for our planned visit. When we returned to Kingsport after the visit, the RV was ready and we proceeded on schedule with our trip. We have since put over 7000 miles on the motorhome and the transmission is performing perfectly.
Throughout the whole episode, Paul was extremely helpful, cordial and business like. He explained our problem, what he would do to repair the transmission, and what the charges would be (which seemed inexpensive but certainly reasonable to us).
We highly recommend Paul and Brookside Transmission to anyone in the TRI-Cities area for competent and friendy transmission service.
Truly your,

Dear Mr. Moore,
We wish to thank you again for the fast and courteous service you gave us Friday April 22 at noontime.
We were the red GMC pickup with the camper on back. Even though you had your shop full and you were eating lunch, you took time to jump up on the ramp truck and checked out our truck. Then you gave us the good news (for us) that it was a hose on the transmission cooler that blew off and that we could be back on the road in about a half an hour.
We would like to thank the State Trooper , Mr. mays, The AAA, and the ramp truck driver ( we didn't get his name) and you.
we didn't have any more truck trouble and the funeral was postponed until wednesday to give us plenty of time to get home.
It sure is a pleasure to meet nice friendly caring people like the Trooper, the ramp truck driver and you.
It made our day.
Thank you so much, Walt & Bernice Stein.

To the staff and management of Brookside Transmission Co.

Atta-boy, Atta-boy, Atta-boy for puttingg new life into the old Dodge Charger, it doesn't diesel when the ignition is turned off. It doesn't jump like a frog while maintaining 15 MPH in school zones. It is more pleasant overall to drive as a result of your care, even though the odometer shows 122,000 miles. Thanks to your quality care, I intend to give Brookside Transmission a plug at every opportunity.
P.S. Three other mechanics before you couldn't get it correct in the timing.

Thanks Again...Gale L.Gay, 111 Rose Lane, Jonesborough, Tn.37659 Lane
